Method 2: Transcutaneous Lower Blepharoplasty

 

As there is cutting and removal of skin, fats and muscle tissue, there will be significantly more bruising, swelling and a slower recovery period in view of the increased trauma to the eyelid tissue. The down time will be much longer as compared to Method 1

This cutting method of operation involves substantial skin and tissue removal, and as such, there is a higher risk of post operative complication such as retraction and ectropion.
