Why Remove?

There exist fats within the eye socket that provides support to the eyeball. However, with the effects of gravity, aging, skin laxity and weakness of the orbital septum, fats located in the lower compartment tend to protrude forward and form a bulge that many term as ‘eye bags’. While there is no functional consequence, eyebags tend to make a person appear tired and older than his or her real age. Fortunately there exist methods of eyebags removal with minimal downtime. This lady had only mild bruising at the cheeks 3 days after the procedure. She was able to return to work on Monday after a weekend of rest with just make up and concealer.

Grade III Eyebags in Senior Adults – This lady had grade 3 eyebags with significant fat removal, resulting in a younger outlook. She returned to office within a few days after the eye bags removal.

Ted Tay: There are different eyebags removal methods – scarless and the more traditional where skin under the eye will be removed. The latter may show some scars. But done by an experienced surgeon, the scars should be concealed very well. From feedback from readers, average cost is about S$3,000 for scarless method and S$4,000 if skin needs to be removed.
